Overview

The Opportunity BNBR is seeking an experienced, strategic, and visionary Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth. The Executive Director will provide overall leadership, drive organizational strategy, strengthen partnerships, mobilize resources, and ensure the effective delivery of high-impact programmes. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and organizational direction: Leading BNBR’s strategic plan development and review, implementing our vision, mission and values, providing leadership to the team. Lead fundraising, donor engagement, and resource mobilization: Leading the organisation in local and external fundraising, establishing a strong relationship with donors, sponsors and supporters. Ensure effective programme delivery, financial stewardship, and legal compliance: Ensuring BNBR has a well balanced, well documented and cost effective programme. Ensure that donor reporting and compliance is done effectively. Build and develop a high-performing team and positive organizational culture: Maintain effective staff recruitment, plan with members of seniour management to encourage shared leadership, set and ensure performance targets for managers are achieved. Provide strong mentorship to the staff. Strengthen governance by working closely with the Board and representing BNBR nationally and internationally: Provide support for the Board with good communication. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will have: Degree in business, leadership and management related, or any other relevant fields. Social sciences and development studies are an added advantage A master’s degree in related fields is an added advantage. At least 10 years' leadership experience, including 5 years in senior management within the NGO or development sector. Proven success in strategic leadership, fundraising, financial management, and partnership development. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills. A commitment to integrity, accountability, safeguarding, and improving mental health outcomes.
