About the Role We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to support the development of She Code Africa's platforms. If you are passionate about writing efficient and scalable code while contributing to a mission-driven organization, this role is for you. You will help build and maintain robust backend systems that power our web and mobile applications. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services and APIs Manage backend technical support for the Summit website Work with databases, authentication, and server-side logic Optimize application performance and scalability Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks Opportunity to mentor or facilitate She Code Africa programs (optional but encouraged) Requirements Experience with backend programming languages like Node.js and Python Familiarity with databases (SQL, MongoDB, Firebase, etc.) Knowledge of RESTful APIs and authentication mechanisms Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Passionate about supporting the growth of women and girls in tech and committed to giving back through volunteering Discover more Kenya job vacancies human resources Recruitment Check how your CV aligns with this job Method of Application
