The ICT Authority is seeking 100 Graduate Software Developers specialised in Artificial Intelligence to join its Nairobi office in Kenya. What You'll Do In this graduate programme you will rotate through key development teams, gaining hands‑on experience in software and AI projects. • Contribute code to active software development projects using languages such as Python, Java or JavaScript. • Develop and test machine‑learning models that address specific government data challenges. • Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices for version control, testing and documentation. • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and performance of delivered solutions. • Document technical designs, implementation steps and user guides for internal stakeholders. • Attend structured training sessions and mentorship meetings to build core competencies in cloud services, data engineering and AI ethics. • Present progress updates and demo prototypes to senior managers and programme sponsors. What We're Looking For We are interested in recent graduates who have demonstrated strong academic performance and a passion for technology. • Holds a First Class or Upper Second Class Honours degree (or equivalent) in BSc ICT, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software or Security earned within the last two years. • Demonstrates solid technical foundations in software development, data structures and algorithms. • Possesses practical knowledge of AI concepts, including machine‑learning frameworks and data preprocessing. • Is a Kenyan citizen aged between 21 and 29 years and currently unemployed. • Has not previously participated in a Government of Kenya internship programme. • Shows strong problem‑solving abilities and an eagerness to learn from senior engineers. • Is able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
