What You'll Do In this graduate programme you will rotate through key development teams, gaining hands‑on experience in software and AI projects. • Contribute code to active software development projects using languages such as Python, Java or JavaScript. • Develop and test machine‑learning models that address specific government data challenges. • Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices for version control, testing and documentation. • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and performance of delivered solutions. • Document technical designs, implementation steps and user guides for internal stakeholders. • Attend structured training sessions and mentorship meetings to build core competencies in cloud services, data engineering and AI ethics. • Present progress updates and demo prototypes to senior managers and programme sponsors. What We're Looking For We are interested in recent graduates who have demonstrated strong academic performance and a passion for technology. • Holds a First Class or Upper Second Class Honours degree (or equivalent) in BSc ICT, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software or Security earned within the last two years. • Demonstrates solid technical foundations in software development, data structures and algorithms. • Possesses practical knowledge of AI concepts, including machine‑learning frameworks and data preprocessing. • Is a Kenyan citizen aged between 21 and 29 years and currently unemployed. • Has not previously participated in a Government of Kenya internship programme. • Shows strong problem‑solving abilities and an eagerness to learn from senior engineers. • Is able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
