Makini Schools - Runda Campus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse. The School Nurse will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff by providing professional nursing care, first aid, health assessments, and health education services. The role involves managing the school clinic, responding to medical emergencies, administering prescribed medications where necessary, maintaining accurate health records, and supporting the implementation of health, safety, and safeguarding policies. The School Nurse works closely with students, parents, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure a healthy and supportive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full academic and personal potential. Scan to Apply or extract link; [apply via Tujiajiri] Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution. Valid registration and current practicing license with the Nursing Council of Kenya. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an added advantage. Minimum of 2-3 years' relevant nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, community health, or clinical setting. Knowledge of child and adolescent health, immunization requirements, infection prevention and control, and emergency response procedures. Experience in managing medical records, administering medication, and coordinating healthcare referrals. Skills, knowledge, abilities & values Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record systems where applicable. Strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, staff, and healthcare providers.
